8/18/1998Herb MaunuDue to equipment malfunction and 12v battery failure the system was inoperative from Aug 10 0934hrs thru Aug 14 0204hrs. Replaced DCP modules, 12v batteries, and reprogrammed DCP. System returned to normal operation. Station InfoData Graph

8/18/1998Larry SandersThe station was loaded with NEWNET version R35 software today at 02:50Z. This software provides improved accuracy for radiation measurements in the low range. The station was re-wired with a door sensor and new voltage divider for the radiation sensor. A new 12volt battery was installed. The PIC 300volt battery voltage was ok (294.5volts). The relative humidity sensor appears to be working correctly at the station, but data processing software for this sensor at Los Alamos is in error. Software engineers at Los Alamos are working on the problem. The wind direction being reported by this station is 90degrees off. Feild support was unable to access the wind direction sensor. EPA field support will come back to this station later to replace the meteorological sensors. Until then add 90 degrees to the indications from this station to get actual wind direction.Station InfoData Graph
8/18/1998Herb MaunuListed below are high radiation measuremens for the months June, July, and August due to radiation check sources use for quality control on the gamma detector operation. Source checks are performed weekly by EPA technicians during their routine equipment maintenance and sample collection duties surrounding NTS. Monthly source checks are performed at far distant locations in Utah.
