10/8/1998Herb MaunuHigh gamma measurements displayed weekly since August 21 were caused by EPA quality assurance (QA) radiation check source. This procedure will be performed weekly at 13 EPA Community Technical Liaison Program (CTLP) stations surrounding the Neveda Test Site and monthly at 4 stations in Utah. Gamma measurements within the range of 25 uR/hr and 120 uR/hr is considered a QA radiation check source measurement unless indicated otherwise.Station InfoData Graph

8/21/1998Larry SandersThe station was loaded with NEWNET version R35 software on 8/21/98 at 22:06Z. This software provides improved accuracy for radiation measurements in the low range. The station was re-wired with a door sensor and new voltage divider for the radiation sensor. The existing PIC battery was reading 297 volts, it was not replaced. Currently, this station only has a radiation sensor. EPA will install meteorological sensors later. All meteorological inputs will remain shorted until the meteorological sensors are installed.Station InfoData Graph
