The small 15.9 µR/Hr Gamma radiation spike at 1525Z on 7 Mar must be regarded as a real event since it is coincident with a similar spike on the normal NNMCC NEWNET station. These 2 stations are located side-by-side on the NNMCC campus in Española.

This portable station was placed in operation on 24 Jan at 2337Z to investigate the larger than average diurnal variation in Gamma radiation (almost 2 µR/Hr) measured by the station at NNMCC. The PIC for this poratable is located 20" east of and 4" lower than the NNMCC PIC.
