4/5/2004Ed LopezThe small gamma spike (14.7 micoR/hr) on April 5, 2004, was cause by an incoming shipment (17 drums) from the Off-Site Source Recovery Project.Station InfoData Graph
3/5/2004Ed LopezSeveral small spikes have been recorded during the first week of March 2004 due to the recent rain and snow storms. These are seen as small peaks with a longer tail on the right side of the peaks (evidence of radon/thoron decay).Station InfoData Graph

2/26/2004Ed LopezThe gamma spike recorded on the Area G Entrance Station on Februray 26,2004 (at 4:00PM GMT) was caused by an incoming waste shipment into Area G. The waste, which was shipped from WCS, was contained in 9 drums. Additional containers with this waste stream are not likely to be reoccurring in the future.Station InfoData Graph
1/21/2004Allen TreadawayThe power was restored at the station on 1/21/04 at about 15:00 MST (21:00 Z). We will continue to watch it for a few days to see if the power issue resolves the negative spikes seen earlier.Station InfoData Graph
1/15/2004Allen TreadawayThe station was shutdown at about 17:45 Z on Thur 1/15/04 in order to rewire the 120 Vac/6 Vdc charging system. Prior negative spikes (over the past several months) on the PIC (gamma) were caused by a faulty charger transformer. It was replaced with a temporary setup but was not weather proof and due to recent precipitation it was decided to shut the station down until a proper setup was completed.Station InfoData Graph
